Hello, all. If you’ve tried going to the TalkingCock.com website, and had trouble logging on, well… there’s a reason. First, type the URL http://www.talkingcock.com (without the index.html tag), and then try refreshing your browser.

You should see the following message:

Dear Cocksters,

Due to circumstances beyond our control (a cockup, lah! What else?) TalkingCock.com will be going offline for a few weeks, until Monday 13 Aug 2007.

This means that during this period, you’ll have no access to our archives, games, comics, stories, Coxford Singlish Dictionary, etc. Humpalang all don’ch have.

Sorry about this interruption, hor.

This is because:

We need the time to do work on some exciting new projects, including the new Coxford Singlish Dictionary update and our next movie (watch for more details!)

Something unexpected and hojjiber has happened to a valued member of our founding team, and as a result, we have lost our server. (Looooong and complicated story! Dun be so kaypoh!) So it’s going to take us a few weeks to do the necessary backup, find a suitable new host, migrate the server, re-launch, blah blah blah. This has some benefits - mainly, it’ll allow us to do some spring-cleaning during the transition. Meanwhile, we wish our fellow cockmaster all the very best as he gets back on his feet!

We deeply apologise for this inconvenience, but mana ooh pian?

We really value your readership and support over the past seven years, and hope you’ll revisit us on Monday, 13 August, when hopefully we’ll get everything sorted out.
